    Lufthansa Launches New Branding

    Lufthansa officially unveiled its new brand image on Wednesday at company events in Frankfurt and Munich.
    The presentations included new all blue aircraft liveries on Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A321 aircraft, with few signs of the airline’s previous yellow branding. Read more here.


    American Airlines plans 4 new cargo services to Europe over summer

    AMERICAN Airlines has announced that is adding four new destinations from Europe to the US over summer.
    The new services from Philadelphia to Budapest, Hungary and Prague, Czech Republic; as well as from Chicago O’Hare to Venice, Italy will commence on May 4. The fourth new service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Reykjavik, Iceland will start on June 7. Read more here.

    2017 a record year for DP World box terminals as market share increases

    Container terminal operator DP World handled a record 70.1m teu at its global facilities last year – 10.1% more boxes than in 2016.
    On a like-for-like basis, the world’s third-biggest operator increased its container throughput by 9.7% in 2017 at its 78 marine and inland terminals. Read more here (login required).


    New box terminal to raise Montreal port’s capacity to 2 million TEU

    THE Montreal Port Authority (MPA) plans to build a container terminal at Contrecoeur on the Island of Montreal that will lift the Canadian port’s total annual container handling capacity to 2.1 million TEU.
    When completed, the new terminal will allow the port of Montreal to keep the region competitive with the large American ports that are investing massively in their infrastructures. Read more here.


    Shipping in Arctic regions focus of February 21 Montreal meet

    THE 12th Arctic Shipping Summit will held in Montreal February 21-22, focusing on increases in shipping and its required infrastructure.
