    Japanese mega boxship slams into cranes at Busan New Port

    Yet another gantry crane has been pulverised by a poorly berthed mega boxship. The Japanese controlled 13,900 teu Milano Bridge, part of the Ocean Network Express (ONE) fleet, smashed into the quayside at Busan New Port on Monday, bringing down a crane onto the back end of the boxship in the process. Read more here.

    Rodolphe Saadé: May will be the worst month

    Rodolphe Saadé, the CEO of CMA CGM, the world’s fourth largest containerline, is anticipating May will be the slowest month for box movements across the globe thanks to the coronavirus.
    Interviewed by French newspaper Le Figaro yesterday, Saadé said he was confident that utilisation rates on his ships would remain strong through to the end of April. Read more here.
