    Cargojet continues international expansion with 21Air investment

    Cargojet has invested in a minority share of US freighter operator 21Air as it looks to grow internationally.
    Cargojet will acquire a 25% interest in 21Air and will “continue to collaborate with 21Air on mutually beneficial opportunities in this expanding air cargo market”. Read more here.

    Canadian Tire buys into Ashcroft Terminal

    In a pandemic world where inventory is king, Canadian Tire Corp. hopes to secure its spot as one of Canada’s reigning retailers by strengthening its supply chain.
    The company, which beat analysts’ expectations with its latest quarterly results on Thursday, said it purchased a 25 percent stake in a B.C. inland port facility. Read more here.

    All eyes on Ningbo as global supply chains await news of terminal’s reopening

    There is still no indication when operations at a container terminal in the world’s largest port will resume following a single Covid outbreak earlier this week.
    The Ningbo Meishan Island Container Terminal, also known as Meishan terminal, suspended operations at 3:30 am local time on Wednesday after a double jabbed, 34-year-old worker came down with the delta variant of Covid-19. Read more here.
