American Airlines Cargo joins efforts to end illegal animal trafficking

American Airlines Cargo has become the first US carrier to join the United for Wildlife group that aims to end the illegal trafficking of wildlife.

The steady upward trend at Munich Airport is reflected in the traffic figures for the first half of 2023: With 16.6 million passengers in the first six months, passenger numbers were more than 28% higher than in the same period of the previous year.

Quay cranes whirred back into action at ports across British Columbia late yesterday afternoon as a tentative deal between unions and employers was reached to end a 13-day strike.

Global container freight rates are still – marginally – exceeding pre-pandemic levels, according to Drewry’s latest assessment (although costs have risen).
Drewry’s World Container Index (WCI) composite index points to a marginal, 0.9%, increase in the past week, reaching $1,488 per 40ft container (feu). However prices were drastically lower year on year; down 78.7% on the same week in 2022 and now stand at 86% below their peak of $10,377/feu in September 2021.
