Customer Advisory: Truckers strike in Indiavsource: APL
You may be aware that India’s nation-wide truckers strike has entered its eighth day. Called by the All India Motor Transport Congress, the strike appears to be gaining momentum, as we are seeing an increasing number of Trucker’s Associations taking part in Mumbai, Mundra, Chennai and Tuticorin.
As such, it is possible that you might experience difficulty transporting cargo from hinterland locations to Inland Container Depots/ Container Freight Stations (CFS), or meeting Port Gate cut-offs. You might also experience challenges picking up your imports from the Port / CFS. APL is closely monitoring the situation, and will provide updates, as and when available.
