    Inaccurate Air Waybills a Growing Problem: Air Canada Cargo

    Air Canada Cargo reports that it has recently noticed a rise in the number of air waybill discrepancies, specifically with the weight and dimensions entered for shipments.
    Variations between a shipment’s actual weight and dimensions and what is declared on the air waybill have a significant impact on operations. Accurate information is critical for safe load planning of the aircraft.
    A completed air waybill with all of the necessary information, including accurate weight, dimensions and consignee information, is required for a shipment to be considered ready for carriage.


    Bali Volcano Eruption Causes Flight Cancellations

    Halifax port employers group and union reach tentative 3-year deal

    The Halifax Employers Association and Council of the International Longshoremen’s Association announced on Monday that they reached a tentative agreement on Friday for renewal of their collective agreement. Read more here.


    Audit authorities find ilegal practices at Cosco

    China’s National Audit Office has discovered a total of 36 irregularities and illegal practices at China Cosco Shipping Corporation and its affiliate companies in the areas of financial operations and anti-corruption during an audit of the group completed in June. Read more here.
