Port of Vancouver Operations Update – March 12

Favourable weather, storage capacity and cargo movement continue at the Port of Vancouver. Port facilities have experienced no recent disruptions due to blockades and protests. Movement and fluidity of export cargo is improving, and recovery is well under way. As of yesterday morning, container daily import rail on dock footage is green on aggregate across the gateway, indicating overall on dock dwell of 3 days or less.
No container or cargo vessels scheduled to arrive at the Port of Vancouver have been diverted due to health and safety reasons related to COVID-19.
Anchorage demand remains high, as backlog volumes are worked. Potential impacts on immediate anchorage requests may occur in the short term. Vessels in port can be viewed on the home page of the PortVan eHub app by selecting “Vessels in Port.”
