    Top Ocean Carriers and Terminal Operators Initiate Blockchain Consortium

    SHANGHAI, CHINA and SAN JOSE, CA — Nine leading ocean carriers and terminal operators today signed a formal statement of intent for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a consortium to develop the Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN), an open digital platform based on distributed ledger technology. Read more here.

    Government putting Ridley Terminals Inc. in Prince Rupert, B.C., up for sale

    Toronto, ON — The Canadian government is looking to sell a 90 per cent stake in Ridley Terminals Inc., a federal Crown corporation.
    The remaining 10 per cent stake will be transferred to the Lax Kw’alaams Band and the Metlakatla First Nation at the close of the sale. Read more here.
